WHO AM I
Bio
I’ve been working remotely since 2015 and have managed distributed team members across 20+ countries. My background is in software engineering and product management. In 2018, I started Remote Work Prep, which offers Fractional COO/Chief of Staff services and educational resources to help companies successfully create healthy, effective remote work environments.
On the personal side, I love reading, being a homebody with my husband and pets, and taking long walks.

Responsibilities
With the Work Forward Society, I’m building a community of forward-thinking remote workers through:
- Creating a safe environment to ask questions and discuss problems
- Adding helpful resources that allow members to rethink how they do work
- Providing domain knowledge around best meeting practices and creating async-first work environments
HOW I WORK WITH OTHERS
- A people-first approach to work - I believe the best loyalty, creativity, and work quality comes from taking a people-first rather than a business-first approach to work
- ‘Why’ approach - It’s my responsibility as an educator to make the “why” behind what we’re doing clear. I want to help you understand what is at the heart of the issue so you have all the knowledge you need to attack the “how”
- Instant response is not required - Respond in your synchronous work hours and I will do the same. I work with people all over the world and know the value of async-first work. If you ever receive a message from me outside your working hours, please know I’m never expecting you to see or respond to it until your normal working hours.
- No stupid questions - You’ll never be judged for anything you ask. Big believer that if one person is wondering something, many others probably are too.
